Welcome to the City of ALAMINOS, it’s the home of the Hundred Islands. Scattered like emeralds in the deep blue waters of Pangasinan. Unexplored coves and islets await seekers of solitude. Each one in its own pristine beauty basks in the sun, lapped by the waters of Lingayen Gulf. We would like to invite you to be part of a balanced and sustainable development that is beginning to happen. Alaminos is home to the Hundred Islands National Park, the very first national park in the Philippines.

The islands (124 at low tide and 123 at high tide) are scattered along Lingayen Gulf and covers an area of 18.44 square kilometers (4,557 acres). They are believed to be about two million years old. Only three of them have been developed for tourists and the following are the Governor Island, the Quezon Island, and the Children’s Island. Boats are privately-operated. From Lucap, one takes a boatride to any of these islands: Governor’s Island,(20 minutes.), Children’s Island (25 minutes.) or Quezon Island (30 minutes.). A tower-type building near the Lucap Park houses an office at the ground floor which monitors the flow of tourists to the said islands.

Getting there:

A trip to Alaminos is a great diversion from urban hustle-and-bustle. A big stretch of blue sea signifies one is in Sual, Pangasinan. Big commercial ships dock on its shores in case of tropical depressions. Sual has a zigzag road resembling that of Kennon Road in Baguio City.

The costal city of Alaminos in the province of Pangasinan, where the islands is much nearer for about five (5) hours bus ride from Metro Manila and three (3) hours from Baguio City. Public bus lines regularly plying the Pangasinan route (Baguio to Alaminos straight), passing by La Union province, are the Byron North Express and the Victory Liner.

Climate:

The province experiences two pronounced seasons: dry from November to April and wet during the rest of the year. Maximum rainfall is observed in August. Average monthly temperature is 27.91 degrees centigrade with the highest occurring in May and the lowest in January.
